No matter where you live, it’s always good to take a few moments to slow down and appreciate nature’s bounty. This clump of choke cherries are but a few of the thousands currently decorating trees beside our home, ready to be a nutritious snack for birds hoping to fatten up before the dreaded onslaught of (dare I say it?) winter.
I’ve already noticed flocks of geese beginning to gather in anticipation of their long trek southward. And in the mornings, there’s a wee nip in the air, a harbinger of the next season waiting to push the summer warmth away.
